Greetings, COM faculty and grad students. We have wonderful news to share: our doctoral student Tianyun Hua has received a travel grant from the East and Inner Asia Council (EIAC) of the Association of Asian Studies (AAS), with the support of the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation (CCKF). This grant will support Tianyun’s research trip this summer to rubber plantations in Singapore and Malaysia.
Also, Tianyun’s Chinese translation of Philip Glahn’s biography of Bertold Brecht was published last month by the Shanghai Literature and Art Publishing House. Hearty congratulations on both these achievements, Tianyun!
