Major Requirements
Effective Fall 2024, below are the Major Requirements for the Comparative Literature degree.
Preparatory Subject Matter: 16 Units
- 8 units: Comparative Literature 1 or 2 AND 3 or 4.
- 8 units: Two other lower division courses in Comparative Literature (selected from 1-53C excluding the 10 series and additional courses in the 1-4 series beyond the two required courses).
Depth Subject Matter: 40 Units
- Required 4 units: COM 195 Senior Seminar
- Electives: (36 units)
- Choose from any number of COM 100-180 upper division courses, 5 courses can be elected from COM or other humanities departments in consultation with the major advisor. (excluding 98, 99, 198, 199)
