Courses

Introduction

Our program provides a myriad of opportunities for students that are both majoring or minoring in Comparative Literature as well as for students interested in expanding their knowledge of diverse world literatures and cultures. Our students are able to shape their program of study to their interests with the assistance of our advisors. Visit our course description pages for more detailed information about upcoming courses.

Intensive Summer Language Courses

UC Davis offers a selection of intensive foreign language courses during the summer. Students can earn 1 year of foreign language credit in 3 months of focused coursework. These language programs may require early applications, so make sure to check enrollment deadlines. Visit the Summer Sessions site for more information. Their page on Special Programs has information about the languages available.

There are also programs available through other universities and UC campuses, but before attending these programs, students should check in advance with their major advisers that they are equivalent to one year of language study at UC Davis.
